Star Wars ToR Choosing A Class

The first thing we all have to go through in Star Wars The Old Republic is choosing which class to devote our future lives to. The first choice you want to make is whether you want to be apart of the Republic or the Empire. This does not mean good or evil for that is chosen by your decisions throughout your adventure. Then, you will have to choose your class. There are four unique classes per alignment.

The Republic:

Jedi Guardian: These are stalwart defenders of the oppressed. They are a primary melee class with force abilities as a back up.

Jedi Consular: They command the force in protection of people across the wide expanse of the galaxy. Primarily a ranged force user with melee attacks when enemies close the distance.

Smuggler: Rogues who are working for the highest bidder constantly changing alignment based on who the highest bidder is. Ranged class that uses blasters and cover systems to defeat foes.

Commando: Republic Army Special Forces. Ranged tank and damage dealer with great crowd control abilities.

The Empire:

Sith Warrior: Hatred is their primary weapon. Damage dealing melee character with force abilities as a back up.

Sith Inquisitor: Destruction through the force. High damage ranged force users that use a lightsaber in a pinch.

Bounty Hunter: Working for the highest paying clients on dangerous assignments. Ranged high damage characters that use blasters to deal massive damage.

Imperial Agent: Stick to the shadows and strike hard and fast. Ranged characters that utilize cover, stealth and sniper rifles to cripple foes all across the galaxy.
